Increasing my HRV
Heart Rate Variability (HRV) is a very magic way to measure how "relaxed" and/or "recovered" your body is. It works by measuring the offset in time between your heart beats. Example. If your heart beats 60 times in a minute, it does not exactly beats every second. There might be a small difference between the beats:
. . . . . .
^^ Example. If this is 5 seconds. It beats a bit faster in the first 2 beats. Then some more time between them. Etc. The difference between these timings, can be measured. The different will be your HRV. I am NOT a doctor so if you want some more in depth info check this article (after you are done reading this one).
So, what works.
Because nobody wants to read a long long article, here is what worked for me>
- I started running, once a week. 5 km. On Sunday, beginning of the afternoon.
- Using the 8 hours supplement, it's great! Contains magnesium (this is the one you REALLY wanna start using if you don't already (again not a doctor)).
- Weekly yoga, stretching the body really helps make those muscles loose again.
- Intermittent fasting. Skip breakfast and stop eating late, the late eating really hurts your body in terms of HRV.
- do not workout late. if you work out late, your body won't fully recover during sleeping. you'll most likely will feel more tired when your wake up.
